I really should be down in the den practicing my solo for tomorrow. I’ve got some awesome music and a kick ass costume with a crimson veil and a smoking bowl to balance on my head.  I just need to practice.  Really. But I’m here with you.

The insurance came through (mostly) on the wet flooring and water clean-up.  New carpet will be ordered tomorrow. Yayyyyyy.

Hot date with hubs tonight at 10. I plan on sleeping very soundly tonight 🙂

  The Priss
Deliberate Brutal Love Dreamer (DBLDf) Mature. Responsible. Aristocratic. Excuse me. The Priss.

Prisses are the smartest of all female types. You’re highly perceptive, and confident in your judgements. You’d take brutal honesty over superficiality any time–your friends always know where they stand with you. You’re completely unfake. Don’t tell me that’s not a word. You’re also excellent at redirecting internal negative energy.

These facts indicate people are often intimidated by you. They also fall for you, hard. You have a distant, composed allure that many find irresistible. If only more of them lived up to your standards.

Your exact opposite:
The Playstation

Random Gentle Sex Master

You were probably the last among your friends to have sex. And the first to pretend that you’re pregnant. LOL. Though you’re inclined to use sex as weapon, at least it’s not as one of mass destruction. You’re choosier than most about your partners. A supportive relationship is what you’re really after. Whether you know it or not, you need something steady & long-term. And soothing.

Toilet overflowed ruining carpet and vinyl resulting in all my weekend shit being packed in boxes and put in the garage

Garbage disposal quit after we loaded it with the Thanksgiving leftovers

Dishwasher drain not working. The dishwasher is now sitting full of clean(?) dishes and nasty water.

The ice dispenser on the fridge isn’t working.

I’ve gained some weight and my jeans don’t fit.

The freaking house is killing us!

Weekend Posting November 25, 2006

Well, I didn’t find black and I didn’t find silk.  I did find a nice plum/burgandy “fashion fabric” that I think will work.  My aqua silk veil that I ordered from ebay came in the mail along with my next Laurell Hamilton Vampire Slayer book.  Woohoo.

Today will be back to “normal” whatever the heck that is. I’ve got truckloads of laundry to do, I need to practice my choreo (the cool one with the veil and big silver bowl) and do the grocery shopping.  The girl has to be at the school at 3:30.  The football team made the Round 2 playoffs so they have a road trip today to that game.  She’ll probably be home sometime around 1 in the morning.

On Monday the carpet guy will come measure for our new flooring. Yay. I want my room back! NOW!

later internets.

Turkey day is over, the kitchen is clean… I’ve got today and the weekend before I go back to work.

Yesterday was pretty damn good. The girl cooked cheeseburger puffs. I had to show her how to cook hamburger patties but all in all she did a good job.  They were rather tasty.

The dressing, sweet potato casseroles, green bean casseroles, rolls, and gravy all turned out great.  The turkey was pretty good, it was just an hour and half later than every damn thing else.  Stupid bird.

I need a shower. I’m going to brave the traffic to go to the fabric store. I need a black silk veil and I know I won’t find silk but maybe I can find a very close substitute.  I won’t be going anywhere else. I’ve done my shopping on ebay and other online stores. I may be crazy but I’m not stupid.

It wouldn’t be a major holiday with a holiday post. So like everyone else I guess I’ll make a little list of everything I’m thankful for.

Gotta start with family. With them anything is tolerable. I have a fabulous husband and great kids. They are all trustworthy, smart, intelligent smartasses, just like me.  Hubs cooks, cleans and runs out in the cold morning to get me a fountain soda just because he loves me.

Country: America is a great place to be. The government could use a little work but America is fabulous. Be whatever the hell you want to be. It’s within your reach, no one can tell you that you can’t and really mean it.

Health: Despite some minor little problems we’re all good. Nothing a pill or two each day won’t fix. Nothing that’s going to put us under any time soon.

Necessities: Gott’em all. Warm bed, food on the table. More than we need really. Wanna come over? Cause friends make the list complete.

Friends: Ones we’ve met and ones we haven’t met. That would be the twelve of you that stop by here every so often. Some of you I’m gonna meet one day. I have family living near several of you, it’s just a matter of scheduling.  I’m thankful for you all.

Ya’ll have a great day and stuff yourself like a Turkey 😉

Hey, if you read Busy Mom or some of the other blogs then you’ve heard about New Orleans Friend.  She gave me the recipe for muffaletas. I love her already.  Anyway, she was the first person to use the new Charmin Times Square restrooms and was interviewed by Fox News.

Go here, scroll down, click the vid link for Luxery Toilets.

Hi New Orleans Friend!  The southern belle in me is MORTIFIED that he asked you if you did #1 or #2.  He’s definetly no gentleman!

It’s 10:00 and so for I’ve scratched the following items off my list:

1. Go the clinic to

A. Pee in a cup (whadda ya mean TMI?)

B. Give a tube of blood

C. Pick up my happy pills

2. Bought the boy the shampoo, toothpaste, and face soap he wanted

3.  Went to Goodwill and found a basket to balance on my head. It’s pretty and shiny and metally. :eeeeeeeeeee:   Found some little stuffed toys to send to Cairo with my bestest friend to give to the kids. Picked up a couple of picture frames.

Later, I’m off with the king to pick out some new carpet for our previously flooded but now dried-out and stripped down den.

Does the stores have the same sales on-line as they do in the store on the day after Thanksgiving? If my and my highspeed can elbow through on Friday morning it would sure beat standing out in the cold to get to the sales.

I was at Goodies today. I love Goodies. A friend gave me a coupon for $25.00 off and purchase over $100. Since they’ve already got nearly the whole store on sale I came out with $273 worth of regular priced items for $99.73! 2 pr of slacks, 2 shirts, a skirt suit, a purse. I’m loving it!!!!!

Now I just need somewhere to go so I can dress up a little. Anyone want to go to dinner?

I woke My surfing was interrupted to the sounds of the king bitching, yelling, cussing, and just making a bunch of noise. So being the “good wife” that I am, I hopped out of bed off the computer chair to see what the hell was going on only to find our entire downstairs area covered with water. Apparently one of the children used the toilet and didn’t make sure it had stopped running. It tends to stick.

Now our downstairs area is more like a daylight basement. Gym/tv room, half-bath, laundry room, short entryway leading to the garage, and a shop attached to the garage. Oh and some storage built under the stairs leading up to the main floor. It’s about a 25×35 space. The main room runs the width of the house and is 17 feet wide. COVERED. IN. WATER.

So I get to take the kids to school, run pay the water bill that’s late, rent a big ass carpet vac, buy breakfast for the king and come back and suck carpet all day. The king wanted me to suck him this morning. At least I’ll be sucking something :sigh:
